Swimming Pool Opening

Opening your swimming pool:

  1. Clean the pool: We will remove debris from the pool and skim the surface with a net. Clean the pool walls, floor, and steps with a pool brush, and vacuum any remaining dirt and debris. Additional vacuuming may be necessary due to heavy winter debris.
  2. Cover: We will remove your mesh, solid safety or Tarp and Tube cover. Additional charge applies
  3. Test the water: Test the pool water to check its pH, alkalinity, and chlorine levels. Adjust the pH and alkalinity levels if necessary. Chemicals will be an additional charge.
  4. Shock the pool: If the chlorine level in the pool is low, we will need to shock the pool. This involves adding chlorine to the pool to kill bacteria and other contaminants. Chemicals will be an additional charge.
  5. Fill the pool: If the water level in the pool is low it will need to be filled to swim level prior to our arrival.
  6. Turn on the pump and filter: We will turn on the pool pump and filter to help circulate the water and remove any remaining dirt and debris.
  7. Monitor the water: Keep an eye on the water chemistry and clarity over the next few days. Adjust the chlorine levels and other chemicals as needed.
  8. Enjoy your pool: Once the pool water is clear and balanced, you’re ready to jump in and start enjoying your swimming pool!
